How to choose LED screen rentals

When renting a LED screen in Miami, you must consider a few technical features. Let us walk you through the essentials below.

1. Choose the type

LED screens are available in different types, depending on the installation area. Here at Rent For Event, we offer the following LED screen rental options:

Indoor LED screen. This is ideal for concerts, conferences, trade shows, and parties. We also get a lot of requests from video production companies to provide this LED wall type.

Outdoor LED screen. This has a weather-resistant design to endure moisture, winds, and UV rays. You should consider this when planning outdoor gatherings, open-air events, or festivals.

Giant LED screen. This is the best choice for large concerts, movie screenings, and video production.

Mobile LED screen. This is a good choice if you’re looking for affordable, easy-to-remove, and convenient LED screens. It’s mounted on a trailer, which can be driven anywhere.

If you’re unsure which is best for your event, call us, and our team will help you. We can also visit your venue to see what LED screen setup will bring your vision to life.

2. Consider the resolution

As with any electronic screen, LED video walls have varying resolutions.

Resolution is measured by the number of pixels present on the screen. More pixels translate to a higher resolution.

Most of the time, you’ll see 1080p resolution on most LED panels. This is the gold standard, but we offer higher resolution if you need it.

3. Check the pixel pitch

The pixel pitch in LED technology is the distance between the center of two adjacent diodes. The smaller the pixel pitch value, the higher its resolution will be.

At Rent For Event, we offer 2.6 mm and 3.9 mm pixel pitches. Both deliver excellent visual quality, but here are the main differences:

2.6 mm
This pixel pitch has a higher resolution than the 3.9 mm option. Since the light-emitting diodes are closer to each other, the image detail would be clear even when viewed at short distances.

We recommend this if you’re hosting trade shows, setting up a DJ booth, or hosting a backyard movie screening.

3.9 mm
This pixel pitch is the one we use on giant LED walls. It has a slightly bigger distance between each diode, offering excellent visual display from a substantial viewing distance.

It would be best if you consider this for large-scale events where the audience sits away from the screen.

4. Opt for proper brightness

Indoor and outdoor LED screens require different brightness levels. Outdoor LED walls must be brighter, especially in the daytime when natural light may overpower the display.

Getting the correct brightness guarantees your audience a comfortable viewing experience. It will also ensure that your content is shown clearly.

If you don’t know what LED panel brightness you need, call us, and our tech team will help.

5. Check the viewing distance

The distance between your LED screen and the audience will dictate the right pixel pitch.

Long viewing distances suit a higher pixel pitch. On the other hand, close-up viewing requires a small pixel pitch to keep the image quality clear.

Aside from that, the distance from the viewers will also impact the screen size. The ideal size gets bigger the farther your audience gets.

Checking the viewing distance before choosing a LED screen will guarantee an optimal viewing experience for your audience.

6. Know the aspect ratio

The aspect ratio is the relationship between the LED screen’s width and height. For example, an aspect ratio of 16:9 means that for every 16 units of width, there would be nine units of height.

To choose the correct aspect ratio for your LED wall, you must check the content that you want to show. A file 4:3 media file is best shown on a 4:3 screen.

Not familiar with these numbers? Call us or send us the file you want to show, and our licensed technician will help.

7. Check the delivery and setup inclusions

Take note that Miami LED screens can come in an all-inclusive rental or just the equipment. The latter means you will handle the pickup, setup, operation, and breakdown.

If you don’t have time for all that, you can choose a full-service LED screen rental. Rent For Event offers this convenience so that you can focus on other aspects of your event. We have a professional AV team to handle the delivery and setup.

8. Get a LED screen rental package

Instead of stressing over the nitty-gritty of operating a LED screen, you can get a full package instead. Our packages include pre-set LED screens that can be customized to meet your needs.

Our LED screen packages already include delivery, setup, operation, and breakdown. We offer complete rentals, so you don’t have to think about the technical aspect.

Also, you’ll save more from availing of a package instead of hiring a separate tech team. Your event will run smoother, and you will have fewer people to deal with.

Feel free to choose from our pre-set 3.9 mm and 2.6 mm packages. If you prefer custom LED walls, call us, and our team will make it happen.
